Adeu is infrastructure, not a platform. There is no workspace your users log into, and no review product competing with the one you are building. A full contract review platform could sit on top of an engine like this.

### Redlining Engine: Track changes for the LLM era
Projects a .docx into something an LLM can safely edit, blocks changes that would corrupt the file, and writes the result back as native Word tracked changes.
- Reads into CriticMarkup with a semantic appendix of defined terms and cross-references, so an agent works on structure instead of raw OOXML.
- Validates before it writes. Ambiguous text matches and invalid structural changes are blocked rather than applied.
- Writes native w:ins and w:del revisions. Layout, fonts, numbering, and margin comments survive the round trip.

### Message Operator: A mailroom for agents
Connects Gmail and Microsoft Graph mailboxes and gives an agent a bounded surface to read, draft, and send. Packaged as a one-click bundle for Claude Desktop.

- Q: What licence is the redlining engine under?
  A: MIT. You can read it, fork it, embed it in a commercial product, and ship it without a licence fee. Paid agreements cover maintenance, support, and SLAs, not access.
- Q: Do documents have to leave our infrastructure?
  A: No. The SDKs run in your own process, and the MCP server can run locally, including against a local model. Nothing reaches Adeu unless you choose to use a hosted component.

  A: python-docx is very good at generating documents from scratch. It does not do non-destructive redlining. Adeu's focus is the opposite case: taking a document someone else drafted and returning it with tracked changes and its formatting intact.

The first open benchmark for multi-turn, agentic editing of Microsoft Word (.docx) documents. It measures four things, on multi-turn agentic workflows only, never one-shot prompts:
- Task success: did the tool make the requested edit, correctly and completely
- Formatting fidelity: do untouched paragraphs, styles, headers and footers, comments, and existing tracked changes survive the round-trip
